From 2014 to 2020, the EU Regional Development Fund has invested a total of DKK 287 million in green initiatives in Denmark, and a similar amount has been invested with national funds. These initiatives help both municipalities and companies to get started with a green transition – a transition that is otherwise often difficult to get started for small and medium-sized companies.
But with support from the EU Regional Development Fund, the companies have received funding e.g. to create a green business plan that paves the way for more sustainable production with lower CO₂ emissions and a better bottom line.
